Election 2022

Election Day is Tuesday, November 8th

What is on the ballot this year in Chester County?

In Pennsylvania, there is a statewide election for the U.S. Senate to elect a successor to current Republican Senator Pat Toomey. This is a massively important election for our commonwealth and the nation–a Democratic victory is crucial.

Chester County’s congressperson, U.S. Representative Chrissy Houlahan, is seeking re-election and depending on our local Democratic committeepeople, volunteers, and voters to continue her work fighting for our values in Washington.

Pennsylvania will also elect a new governor to succeed Democratic Governor Tom Wolf, as well as a lieutenant governor. Both offices are being actively targeted by Republicans, and early voter mobilization is essential to combat misinformation and elect strong Democratic candidates.

Locally, in our hometowns of Downingtown, Caln, and East Caln, there are smaller but just as influential seats up for election in the Court of Common Pleas, school boards, and other municipal offices tasked with making decisions that affect our everyday lives.

How can I get involved?

Help candidates get on the ballot

Anyone running for office must first obtain a certain number of petition signatures from registered voters in their district. Volunteers are a huge help in making this possible!

Register voters and get out the vote

Your next township commissioner or school board member could be decided by as few as two votes. Help us get everyone to the polls (or dropbox) by text/phone banking, canvassing, and other outeach!

Volunteer at the polls on Election Day

Be an active part of your community by greeting your neighbors at the polls, sharing candidate information, and helping Election Day go smoothly.
